Navigating the Stormy Seas of Evictions

During the Pandemic, the Housing Court and the State and Federal governments have adopted a series of policies and procedures that have transformed the way that evictions are handled in Massachusetts, making the eviction process more complicated, costly and time consuming.

Some of those changes have survived the ending of the Great Shutdown and have real life impact and implications for persons and companies as they try to enforce the terms of leases with their tenants. It is important for owners and management staff to understand those key changes as well as some upcoming rules and regulations, to keep up with the shifting tides of the law.

Downing Van Dyke is here to help, to steer you through those choppy waters!

FREE, monthly, Zoom sessions over the lunch hour

For our clients, colleagues and friends we will be offering free, once a month, Zoom sessions over the lunch hour, inviting you to listen to a brief presentation of an aspect of those changes, including practical advice on what to do to prepare for and survive them. There will be an opportunity at the end of that presentation, to ask questions, to seek advice, to vent, to commiserate and to discuss survival plans to keep yourself afloat.

Join us on February 12, 12PM to 1PM

The first session, which will take place on February 12th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.  The topic will be: “Adrift on RAFT: Rental Assistance and the Eviction Process”. The session is free, so heat up your lunch in the microwave and join us.
